Insomnial Visions - WIP

A project for my drawing class where we were supposed to draw a hallway from our school in single-point perspective then add three surreal elements using either magazine cut-outs (suggested and mainstream route) or by drawing our own. I, of course, picked the latter. At first I just drew the hallway with 2-point perspective and the curve, but then I noticed that there was a huge blank wall in front of me. I know not how the creature came into being as I was suffering from a bout of insomnia and have not slept for almost 70 hours at that moment. However, after finally sleeping, I returned to school to find an unfinished, though impressive creature forcing its way towards me. I quickly finished up the basic form of the creature and created a hole midway down the hallway for some reason. I soon became obsessed with finding an alternative for the hole and spent two weeks thinking it over, while adding in details to the rest of the project. After playing Fallout 3, my friend suggested that I add Liberty Prime in there and I completely agreed. the next day I came to school with just a screenshot I took and came home with probably my best bit of work to date. For once, I accurately drew a subject based off of a single image, I made hands that don't look like angry tentacle monsters, and I effectively used shading to add shadows and texture to make for a more realistic image. I know not how I suddenly exploded with talent today, but I'm glad I did.
